This article covers the three most common account issues at a Bitstop ATM: resetting your PIN, an ID that won't scan, and verification that didn't go through.
Reset your ATM PIN: For security, your ATM PIN can only be reset at a Bitstop ATM, not through the app, your online account, or support. Visit any Bitstop machine (it doesn't have to be the one where you set up your account) and follow the on-screen prompts.
ID not scanning: If your ID won't scan at the machine, you can submit it another way. At the ATM, choose the option to upgrade your buying power and you'll get a text with a submission link. Or sign in to your online account at account.bitstop.co and choose to submit an ID, which prompts for an ID upload and a selfie. Use a valid, government-issued photo ID, fill the frame with no glare or shadows, and make sure all text is readable.
Verification didn't go through: Most verification problems come from the photo, not your account: glare, blur, poor lighting, or an expired ID. Retrying with a clear, well-lit photo of a valid ID usually resolves it. The Bitstop app is the fastest way to resubmit.
If any of these still don't work, Bitstop support can help. Have your full name, the phone number used at the machine, and the ATM location ready. Support is available 24/7 at (855) 524-8786 or support@bitstop.co.
