What is the Bitstop OTC desk?
Bitstop Private Client is our over-the-counter (OTC) desk for buying and selling crypto in larger amounts, generally $10,000 to $100,000 per transaction. Instead of using an ATM, you work with a dedicated concierge, fund your trade by bank wire, and settle the same day.
Do I need a Bitstop account to request access?
No. Request access either way. If you don't have an account, your concierge helps you create one and complete verification. You'll need to be 18 or older with a valid government ID, and at higher amounts you may be asked for proof of address or source of funds. Desk transactions need a fully verified Bitstop Gold account, and your concierge gets you there.
How much crypto can I buy through the OTC desk?
Generally $10,000 to $100,000 per transaction. Need more? Mention it in your request, and your concierge will confirm what applies to your account.
Which cryptocurrencies does the desk support?
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), USDC, and USDT. Your concierge confirms current availability.
How do I pay, and how fast does it settle?
By bank wire only. Your concierge sends wire instructions, we confirm with you by text before processing, and settlement happens the same day.
Should I use a Bitcoin ATM or the OTC desk?
If your purchase fits under your daily ATM limit, a Bitstop ATM is the quickest way. Limits depend on your state. For larger amounts, the OTC desk handles it.
Can I buy through a business, trust, or LLC?
Yes. Mention it in your request, and your concierge will tell you which documents to have ready.
How do I know it's really Bitstop contacting me?
Your concierge only contacts you about the request you submitted. They will never ask you to send crypto to someone else, buy gift cards, or share your password. If anyone claiming to be Bitstop asks for any of those, stop replying and contact Bitstop support.
