Every Bitstop account starts at the Basic tier, which covers most everyday purchases. Upgrading to the Bitstop Gold tier unlocks a much higher daily purchase limit and requires completing additional identity verification. Gold is a tier on your account, not a type of machine or location, so it works at every Bitstop ATM, with a Bitstop Teller, and in the app.
The fastest way to upgrade is the Bitstop app: sign in, open your account or verification settings, and complete the Gold identity verification. Have a valid, government-issued photo ID ready, take the photos in good light, and make sure every part of the ID is readable. Maxing out your verification is what moves your account to Gold.
You can also upgrade away from the app. At any Bitstop ATM, choose the option to upgrade your buying power and you'll get a text with a submission link. Or sign in to your online account at account.bitstop.co and submit your ID and a selfie there. Whichever path you choose, the upgrade applies to your whole account.
Once you're upgraded, your new limits apply right away. The 'Remaining Purchase Power' figure on the machine always shows exactly how much you can buy, since limits and requirements can vary by state. Gold also makes you eligible for Bitstop Concierge, Bitstop's private client service for larger purchases.
